Shout at กับ Shout to บุพบทข้างหลังต่างกันนิดเดียวแต่ความหมายต่างกันมหาศาลเชียวล่ะ

 

Shout at somebody ตะโกน, ตะเบ็ง, ตะคอก เมื่อโกรธ เช่น

 

She got very angry and started Shouting at me = เธอโกรธมากและเริ่มต้นตะคอกใส่ฉัน

 

Shout to somebody ตะโกนเพื่อให้คนได้ยิน เช่น

 

She shouted to me from the other side of the street = เธอตะโกนเรียกฉันจากอีกฟากของถนน

 

เช่นเดียวกับอีกคำคือ

 

throw something at someone/something = ขว้าง, ปาของ เช่น

 

Somebody threw an egg at the minister. มีคนปาไข่ใส่รัฐมนตรี

 

throw something to someone = โยน, ขว้างออกไป เช่น

 

Ann shouted ‘Catch’ and threw the keys to me from the window. แอนตะโกนว่า ‘รับ’ และโยนกุญแจให้ฉันทางหน้าต่าง
